  • At an auction in Atlantic City, New Jersey, a red 1955 3-speed V8 Corvette sells for US$34,000. The car includes documentation indicating it was originally sold to Elvis Presley. (Various researchers subsequently point out numerous flaws in the paperwork.) [222.18]
