  • Walt Disney contacts Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio head Louis Mayer about signing with Disney for distribution of its films. (Initially Mayer agrees, but he soon changes his mind when Pat Powers threatens to sue anyone who interferes with his exclusive contract of the rights to Disney's films.) [34.56]
