

Located on BC’s west coast, these old concrete ships form the largest floating breakwater in the world (probably).

Kicking Horse Pass is one big hill and in the 19th century, trains had a hard time going up and — especially — down. The Spiral Tunnels were built based on a design used in Switzerland. The spiral tunnels spiral inside the mountain and give trains an easier climb and descent.

Earning the distinction of being our most northern wonder, Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church is also reported to be the most photographed building in Inuvik. Do you think someone counted?

Apparently, this is the world’s largest western boot, although we’re not convinced. It’s 12 metres tall.

This trestle bridge crosses 1.6 kilometres over the Oldman River and rises up to 95.7 metres high. It’s the longest and highest bridge of its kind in North America.

This giant aluminum Ukranian Easter egg is 7.8 metres long and 9.5 metres tall. It’s actually very cool and was painted according to a mathematical formula.
