Bird of Paradise Pub, 727-2568. Neighbourhood pub hosts live entertainment every second Saturday night.
Boom Boom Room, 1208 Wharf Street, 381-2331 Disco nightclub in tropical rainforest setting with animal prints. This high energy dance club leans towards hip hop and attracts 19-25 year old crowds. Ladies nights with male exotic dancers are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Male customers are corralled in a different section, until 11 pm on those nights.
Brewsky's Pub, 652-3252. Neighbourhood pub hosts Karoke on Saturday nights. Every last Friday of the month the Sesamoids play 70's and 80's music.
Prism, 388-0505 - A newly renovated bar catering to the gay community. Cover and pool are free.
Buffy's Pub, 642-3333. Oceanside, small neighbourhood pub cooks up homemade meals daily and local musical talent once a month.
Cambie Bar and Grill, 382-7161. A country-themed bar complete with mechanical bull and a country DJ on Thursday nights. Friday plays blues and rock, while Saturday showcases country bands.
Carlton Club Cabaret, 361-3666. The only dance club in Esquimalt, it caters to all ages with Top-40 music. People come for the dancing with theme nights on the weekends such as Hawaii and Moulin Rouge nights.
Cook's Landing Lounge at Laurel Point Inn, 386-8721. An elegant lounge of sophistication centres iteself around a grand piano. Classical and jazz music is offered Wednesday to Friday, along with fine brandies.

Evolution, 388-3000. Alternative bar intermixed with everything from yuppies to head bangers. This rock bar plays heavy metal and punk music on Mondays, mainstream rock on Saturdays and techno music on Sundays.
Fat Tuesdays, 383-7545. A lively sport pub whose big screen TV is always tuned into major sporting events. Friday and Saturday nights DJs pump our dance music, while Thursday nights the Randy Tucker band slides out jazz and blues.
Felicita's Pub, 721-8626. Located at UVic, the student run pub draws a younger crowd with local bands and DJs, and sporting events on the big screen.
Flying Beagle Pub, 382-3301. An intimate pub stocked with friendly locals in the relaxed hub of the Cook Street Village. Sunday nights pack in Rand B with the Randy Tucker Band.
Glen Lake Inn, 478-3811. A casual pub for the working man with live music on Saturday nights.

Great Canadian Casinos Inc., 391-0311. In between the slot machines and blackjack tables, occassional live bands rock patrons in this View Royal night spot.
Herman's Jazz Bar and Grill, 388-9166. Off the beaten track, the club promotes jazz music in a pub style restaurant. Sunday afternoons packs in jazz lovers for Dixieland Jazz. Mondays and Tuesdays is Big Band music with dancing on Tuesday. Thursday warms patrons up with the Esquimalt Jazz band, which later switches off with the Tom Vickery Trio for a night of jamming. Friday and Saturday nights have live jazz bands.

Hugo's, 920-4844. A martini bar lounge, which turns into a dance club later in the evening. A dress code attracts a more dressed up, mature crowd. Tuesdays starts with pizza and finishes with house music, while Wednesday hosts British music. Thursday to Saturday nights play Top-40.

James Bay Inn, 270 Government Street, phone 250 384 7151.
The low key neighbourhood pub has the longest running blues jam session in Victoria Saturday afternoons from 10-12 pm. Thursday to Friday nights host folk or celtic rock bands along with special e4vents from big name Canadian blues musicians. Also holds literary readings on Sundays.

Legends, 383-7137. A younger crowd pick-up joint pumps out Top-40 music along with bit name touring bands and special events.

The lounge has recently been renovated into a trendy boutique night spot with a constantly changing line up of jazz and latino music from Thursday to Saturday night. Saturday nigh jams are intermittently scheduled.

Logan's, 360-2711. Logan's offers nightly music from local musicians to big name bands. Keeps locals coming back for good listening and dancing on their modest dance floor.
Maude Hunters Neighbourhood Pub, 721-2337. The casual neighbourhood pub offers live music once a month.
Mocambo, 384-4468. For eight years, Mocambo has hosted peotry nights on Fridays in their casual, european-style restaurant/coffee house. Satudays are DJ nights and minors are welcome.

Pagliacci's, 386-1667. A dimly lit cozy italian bistro pairs pasta with live music on Saturday nighs in a laid back atmosphere.
Penny Farthing Public House, 370-9008. Celtic inspired, this cozy Oak Bay pub of dark wood and brass brings east coast music, seafood and brews to Thursday nights. Good spread of British beers. There are not TV's, only live entertainment with celtic bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

Saltaire Lounge, 383-8439. Friday and Saturday nights different DJs line up mellow tracks. Martinis.
Shark Club Bar and Grill, 386-5888. Mainly sports oriented with occassional acts like comedy troups or hynotists. The high end dacor attracts a more mature crowd with dancing and DJs on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sopranos Karoke and Sports Bar, 382-5853. Nightly Karoke creates a house party atmosphere for a younger crowd. Countless TV's in the large bar bring various sporting evens up close, including wrestling.
Spinnakers Brewpub & Guest House, 384-6613. The oldest brew pub in Western Canada brings beer, live music, British decor and waterfront views to its diverse crowd. Tourist and locals alike listen in to live acoustic blues, folk and jazz Sunday to Tuesday.
Spiral Cafe, 386-9303. A living room feel with an espresso machine and a crazy man behind it. This small cafe supports the local music scene with world class and first timer performers. Friday and Saturday nights mix it up while Mondays are old-time string music jams and Wednesdays are swing jams.

The clubhouse is a newly renovated dance club inside the Sticky Wicket Pub. Mainly an older crowd mixes here to dance. During the summer months, the roof top packs in people of all ages playing beach volleyball.
