| The
north end of Vancouver Island brings visitors one step closer to nature
and all that it offers. The area is home to one of only two areas on Vancouver
Island where there is a summer resident pod of Killer Whales. The waters
on the north end of Vancouver Island are clear and you can see the entire
whale as a passes near or under your boat. Whale watching is spectacular.
The scuba diving that is available on the north island is also exceptional.
Stubbs Island is one of the best diving sites on Vancouver Island. The diving
in Baynes Channel north of Port Hardy is superior. Bears, Whales, Eagles,
Dolphins and Porpoise and more await those travellers who go north. The north end of the island has a smaller population than other regions of the Island. The towns are small and life is much less complicated. The pace is slower and relaxed. The scenery is spectacular and nature is around every corner. Take the time to visit the far reaches of spectacular Vancouver Island. You will be glad you did. The major centres are Port Hardy and Port McNeill. Telegraph Cove is a unique waterfront boardwalk community that you have to visit. |
