Long beach, the majestic paradise, is located between the two communities of Tofino and Ucluelet and is open to visitors year round. Park fees vary with season, length of stay and location. Parking fees are required at many of the beaches; the 1997 fees for parking are $3 for two hours or $8 for the entire day.

 Enjoy this breathtaking natural environment that was named for its 20 km (12 mi) stretch of wave-kissed sandy beaches. Many opportunities await travelers visiting the Long Beach area. There are 9 hiking trails, many with boardwalk surfaces, that lead visitors through old-growth forests. At the south end of Long Beach, at the Wickaninnish Centre, you will find the Marine Interpretive center. Don't miss the Pacific Rim Whale Festival and take one of the many nature cruises available for your chance to see migrating grey whales. Whether you choose strolling the beach, surfing, hiking, whale watching or exploring tidal pools, a trip to Long Beach has the sights and sounds of a real West Coast vacation you will never forget.
