Long Beach
Endless, wide sandy beaches and pounding surf welcome visitors to the real West Coast. Long beach, in the Pacific Rim National Park, is the ultimate getaway for travelers looking for adventure at every step. The rugged and wild West Coast of Vancouver Island can only be called awesome in every aspect. Take time to appreciate the true splendor, immense strength and unpredictable nature of the Pacific Ocean. Wander out on the clear sandy beaches and find incredible solitude and life-long memories.
Witness the full effect of the Pacific Ocean during a dramatic winter storm where waves reach heights of approximately 7 meters (25 ft) and pound the rocky shores. The ever-changing skies, compliments of the prevailing westerly winds, can quickly turn a cloud filled morning into a brilliant sunny afternoon in this beautiful region.

Long beach, the majestic paradise, is located between the two communities of Tofino and Ucluelet and is open to visitors year round. Park fees vary with season, length of stay and location. Parking fees are required at many of the beaches; the 1997 fees for parking are $3 for two hours or $8 for the entire day.
