Cadboro Bay Trails Survey Detailed Results
- General Comments:
- A very important part of the neighbourhood lifestyle.
- A good system and getting better.
- Most people are satisfied with the wood chip surfacing; there is a concern about slippery conditions when wet/icy; small dogs may have trouble walking.
- There is support for natural earth where feasible & gravel where necessary.
- A variety of trail types is preferred, from primitive to well-developed; some could be suitable for wheelchairs, scooters and walkers.
- Better development of the ocean accesses is also of significant interest.
- Tall grass alongside the trails is a problem for fire hazard and allergies.
- Delayed pruning until late in the season (blackberries, other) and slow removal of debris after a windstorm are safety concerns.
- Invasive species removal (ivy, broom) should be a priority.
- A better local trail map would be beneficial.
- Some improvement in signing would be beneficial.
