Four men robbed the Tishomingo Savings Bank on December 7, 1874. The robbers were believed to have stolen $5,000.00 in cash and $5,000.00 in other valuables.
Some reports identified but not verified that Cole Younger was in attendance. However, questions arise on how the gang could be in Mississippi on December 7 and in Muncie, Kansas the next day.
