Deposit Bank Columbia, Kentucky

The Deposit Bank of Columbia, Kentucky was robbed April 29, 1872. Five riders gathered at the front of the bank , two dismounted and entered the Bank. R. A. C. Martin, Cashier and died was shot after believing to have sounded the alarm that the bank was being robbed.

The reports concerning amount of monies liberated varies from $ 200 to $ 6,000. Dr. Settle's book indicates the bank robbers netted $ 600.00 for their efforts
