Four Robbers, two dismounted reportedly liberated $ 10,000.00 on September 5, 1875 from a local bank. During the robbery R. T. Oney, cashier and a friend were alone in the bank prior the robbery. One man was shot and killed, gang member Thompson Mc Daniel (brother to Bud).
Jack Keene aka Thomas J. Webb was arrested in Tennessee a short time later, returned to West Virginia, tried and sentenced to twelve years in prison.
