SPRING STORM

dividerr

Thunder
The endless rumble of the sky
The crack that stands our hair on end.
On again
Off again
Thunder.

The cat's ear twitches
At the next report
Delivered amongst the arrival
Of the rain.
I lay my head
Against your thighs
And smile.
Such pleasant flesh
To caress amid the whisper
Of the rain.

Earth music
The lullaby of planets.
The coolness of Aeolian voices
Tightens the flesh
Of the breasts that hang over me.

Here is the womb.
Here is paradise.
I can resist no more.
My lips press tight upon them.
My passions stir.

And from without
A sparrow sings
The all-clear.
