When I started my first internet site, The Weather Doctor, I knew that there would be many topics I could not cover within its confines. For quite a while I have been considering another site, toying with several names for it. In the past year, I have been able to find used copies of Hal Borland's books on nature I had never read as well as rereading the nature writings of Edwin Way Teale and Sigurd F. Olson. While reading Borland's Sundial of the Seasons, the name for my nature site came to me: Nature's Song. It fit what I wanted the site to be: a celebration of the science and poetry of nature. (Similar to the focus of The Weather Doctor.)

So, here it is! Nature's Song will cover those topics that would not fit under The Weather Doctor
banner (though it will cover some weather-related topics) that have interested me over the years.
At present, I have chosen the following topic headings but may change or add them as time
passes:
Nature Journal will likely be added to regularly on a monthly basis, the remainder of topics as
the spirit moves me or as Nature shows me another interesting side that I must write about. As
with The Weather Doctor, I will have Site Map and What's New pages to keep readers abreast of
what has been added to the site.
So come often, enjoy and let me know what you think of the new site. If you haven't visited The
Weather Doctor, I invite you to visit me there as well.
Rainbows!
