KONKLE CEMETERY
Lot 17/18 Broken Front "C" A80-3 "R"
The burial ground is located near the lake shore, 175 feet to the east of the Pumphouse at the end of Lincoln Avenue.
It is on top of the east bank of a small creek and is now surrounded with large walnut trees. There are a number of scattered pieces of stone in the area, indicating the presence of more markers. The remaining 4 complete stones have been imbedded in a flat concrete slab.
Adam Kunkle was granted the whole of lot 17 in concession 2 and the east half of lot 17 in broken front and concession 1 in 1802 by the Crown. His will of 1813 directs his executors to "Bury my body in my orchard on my farm."
