FINE RUSSIAN HOLOGRAMS

During our business trip to Russia, we searched for unique holograms, and we were very successful. Our finds include a forgotten series of glass holograms (dichromate and silver halide) showing various spectacular Russian treasures (Faberge jewelry, jewelry that belonged to empress Catherine the Great, old icons, etc.) These holograms spent over 10 years covered under thick layers of dust in one of the Russian labs! They are perhaps shown for the very first time outside of Russia!

No picture can show the quality and the sharpness of these holograms.
They are produced on special glass plates (not the commonly used AGFA) and are set-up for an incredible viewing angle of about 160 degrees. Russian holographic plates give you warm and vibrant golden-honey color (some photographs here are b&w - sorry). They are not mass produced, but hand-made for our orders. We are in close cooperation with Russian holographers and are proud to offer you the unique selection of rare holograms from the best Russian studios. They make a real treat for collectors and art lovers. Many of them were displayed on various international hologram exhibitions as one of the main attractions. Icon of the Saviour with a Wet Beard
Provenance: Acquired from Monastery of the Intercession of the Virgin, Suzdal. The borders and background are worked in silvergilt repousse, with floral and scale designs. The Diadem in filigree is enameled and inserted with a Sapphire in a black-kneeled Gold cast. 16-th Century. (The most "magical" piece!) Size 9x12". Matted 14x18" Price $ 275

Trinity
Provenance: Mid 17-th Century. Donated in memory of Prince Dmitry Pozharsky's into St. Euthymus Monastery of the Saviour, Suzdal. The borders, diadems and crescents are silvergilt, witch chased decoration. The background is inlaid with nielloed plaques showing floral design, 7 casts with turquoises and garnets on the borders. The diadems and crescents are pearl-stringed and inserted with corundum and beryls. Size 11x16". Price $395

Sun became the most fashionable house for jewelry in Europe. The firm specialized in useful objects, such as cigarette cases, bell-pushes, etc. The style derived from Parisian 18th century goldsmiths' work. A very high level of craftsmanship was achieved by this studio.
