| Comprehensive Peer Programs Workshops | |||

| How to establish effective peer programs in school, post-secondary, or community settings. Gain supervised training experience, develop site specific materials, and learn how to recruit, select, supervise, and motivate peer helpers. | For persons working with First Nations youth, this 5-day session includes the same topics, tips, and strategies as the Comprehensive Peer Workshop plus a focus on integrating Aboriginal customs, process, and traditions. | How to create programs which include training peer helpers in mediation and conflict resolution. Appropriate for persons who have taken a Comprehensive Workshop or have peer trainer experience and want to add a mediation focus. | Resolve peer program issues, work with experts to strengthen peer programs, improve skills as a trainer, enhance group leadership skills, and become a consultant to help others with programs. |
INCLUDED IN EACH WORKSHOP
The fee for all workshops includes a specially designed set of peer training resources, nutrition breaks, post-session consultation services, eligibility for CEU credit, opportunity to qualify as a Nationally Certified Peer Trainer, discounts on peer program materials, and access to networking and internet peer support.
