Us, The House and The Cats

 


 

The resident human of the house is myself, Joanna Hagar. I have been the owner of Poor Richard's Books since 1976. However, the real masters of the house are the cats and we become mere employees serving their every whim.

 

 

 

 

 

 


THE HOUSE

In 1982 Poor Richard's Books moved into its present location. The house is known as The Baker House and was built c. 1893.

THE CATS

The real masters are the cats. Their names are JR, Kiki La Douce and Finnbar Magnificat.

Readers of our published catalogue, over the years, have seen what a tiresome job these three have done in selecting very special items for our customers. They have been tireless in sniffing out those wonderful treasures.

However, they do often maintain that we humans tend to get underfoot sometimes. But they do indeed demand the best and we have been instructed to carry this quality to our customers.
