Classics for Teens

A programme that brings music to young people

The Sidney Classical Orchestra provides a community programme that allows patrons of the arts and local businesses to support and foster the exposure of classical music to students.

Programme Objectives

• To enrich the musical experience and education of young people in our community
• To help ensure the long-term well-being of our local orchestra
• To support local efforts to broaden the scope of cultural activities in our community

How it Works

Supporters of the programme are invited to make a donation so that blocks of concert tickets (6 tickets per block) can be distributed to the school or youth organization of their choice. The organization will then select individuals to receive a complimentary ticket to the current classical music concert presented by the Sidney Concert Society and our own Sidney Classical Orchestra.

Three categories of sponsorship are available: Visionary [10+ blocks of youth tickets], Donor [2+ blocks of youth tickets], and Supporter [one block of youth tickets].
