Tuesday 12th April - Minterne Magna


Minterne House has been the home of the Churchill and Digby families for nearly 400 years

and we expect to be shown round the house by Lord Digby and the Hon. Henry Digby.


Tuesday 19th April - Tate Modern and The Globe Theatre

Tate Modern displays the national collection of international art.

It includes modern British art by major British artists.

The visit to the Globe will include a tour of the theatre

which is a reconstruction of the Tudor Globe built in 1599.



Wednesday 11th May - The Watercress Line and Hinton Ampner House (NT)


This includes a 1½ hour trip by steam train through the Hampshire countryside

followed in the afternoon by a visit to Hinton Ampner House.



Wednesday 25th May - Hardy Country Trail

The trip will cover the biographical and literary locations

around Dorchester connected with Thomas Hardy.


Tuesday 21st June - Chavenage House

Chavenage House, near Tetbury,  contains tapestries, fine furniture,

pictures and many relics of the Cromwellian period.


Tuesday 5th July - Tour of the Purbecks by tractor and trailer

A mystery tour led by Rolande Hulme, the National Trust's Countryside Officer.


Thursday 21st July - River trip from Marlow to Henley

A journey along one of the loveliest stretches of the River Thames,

through rolling hills, past some historic buildings and through many interesting locks.



Tuesday 9th August - Titsey Place

Titsey Place is one of the largest surviving historic estates in Surrey,

dating back to the mid-sixteenth century.

Our visit will be on a day when the property is not open to the public

and we therefore have the property for our sole use and enjoyment.



Wednesday 7th September - Sherborne Castle

The castle was built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594

and has been the home of the Digby family since 1617.

It is surrounded by 30 acres of lakeside parkland and gardens

created by 'Capability' Brown in 1753.

Monday 3rd October - RNLI Lifeboat College, Poole

The RNLI Lifeboat College trains volunteer crews of the various classes of lifeboat

and RNLI lifeguards on the beaches around the country.
