Our Activities

During the summer period from April to September we arrange day outings to

National Trust properties as well as other places of interest.

We also organize one or two short-break holidays.

In winter the members of the Bournemouth and Poole Association meet

twice monthly on Thursdays.   Each month from October to March, there is

an evening meeting, and an afternoon meeting for those members

who do not wish to travel at night.

All meetings are held in the Hallmark (formerly Durley Hall) Hotel, Durley Chine Road, Bournemouth, usually:

every second Thursday in the evening at 7.30pm, and

every fourth Thursday in the afternoon at 2.15pm.

These meetings include talks on a variety of subjects and enable members to socialize

with like-minded people.  The talks are often related to the local National Trust

properties we support, or perhaps to visits planned for the next summer season.

In December we have our popular Christmas Luncheon, and at the start of a

new summer season we organize a Spring Luncheon somewhere within,

or not too far outside, our immediate area.

The twice yearly newsletters (spring and autumn) include the programmes

of summer outings and winter speakers, respectively.

In this newsletter you will also find the details of all other events.

See also our Events programme for further details.
