The 2-8-0 "Consolidation" was the most numerous of the many locomotive types on the Canadian National Railways steam roster. Most of these were acquired along with the financially troubled companies that came to form the CNR after W.W.1.

2474 was built for the Canadian Northern Railway in 1918 and served until 1957.
