A winter afternoon fades into evening. Lights in and around the station seem to brighten as the sky darkens. A westbound train, mail and express #5, perhaps, pulls away from the station behind Hudson #2860, and P2K #5468, a freight locomotive pressed into pusher service this evening for the climb over Eagle Pass. Headlights of a Pontiac sedan illuminate a taxi, a 1947 Plymouth. Building and cars are long gone, but both of these locomotives escaped the scrapper's torch and survived into the year 2000.

This image was printed by the "Giclee" process (pronunciation is close to jicklay) resulting in a print which is really close to the original painting.
