Dr. Hughes was a longtime resident of the Cowichan Valley on southern Vancouver Island. This master of the Canadian landscape has received numerous honours including the honorary degree Doctor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria (1995), honorary degree Doctor of Letters from the Emily Carr Institute (1997), Doctorate of Letters from Malaspina University-College (2000), the Order of Canada in 2001, and most recently the Order of British Columbia (2005).

There is a minimum order of 6 cards which may be assorted or all the same image.
Additionally, artcards are available "blockmounted" at $14.95 each (5"x7") and $17.95 each (6"x9") as well as double-matted and plastic-wrapped at $19.95 each (to fit an 11"x14" frame).
Also the double-matted Hughes images are available framed using a metal moulding at $39.95 each. Blockmounted, matted, and framed items are available singly.
Prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars. (Canadian$1.00 = US$0.95c approximately)

"E. J. Hughes". A lavish "coffee table book" written by Ian Thom, chief curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery, and profusely illustrated with reproductions of the artists work.
The book, was the catalogue of the 2003 exhibition organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery and priced at $75.00.
It is now out of print and sold out.
