Vancouver Island Health Authority. Over those years he has

turned 67 on 1 December 2016 and is feeling his age. He could
retire tomorrow but feels an obligation to stay on for most of

of a refugee that the Saanich Peninsula Refugee Initiative Group

The refugee is a 21-year-old woman. Her father,
mother and little brother are sponsored separately by the
Canadian government. The four of them are living together in a
home in Victoria and eager to learn English, find work and
become contributors to Canadian society. SPRIG has also
committed to sponsoring another Syrian refugee, a widowed mother
with four young children, who may arrive in Canada within a few
months. Art finds his work for SPRIG takes up lot of his leisure
