The Suite
This historic building, was Sooke's first police station, district courthouse & jail (1946-1993). The B&B was named after Constable Malcolm Matheson and his family who occupied the home from 1948-1951. It has been lovingly refurbished to include a luxurious private retreat, gallery and studio.

"The cheery artful decor and unique history of this delightful suite... set it apart from other B&B accommodations. "

~ Beautiful BC Travelers Magazine (Summer 1999)

The self-contained, attached cottage is funky, fun and full of warmth and whimsy. The 4 room suite offers privacy in beautiful garden surroundings. Relax in the sitting room or have a warm soak in the jacuzzi by the fire. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need for an independent stay. Breakfast comes complete with Sheila's home-made croissants, muffins, scones, and fresh juice, and if you feel like cooking, all the fixings for your own hearty breakfast.
The bedroom with Queen bed, is bright and spacious with wool duvet and a plush wool matress pad. Luxurious robes are provided for your use, as well as a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and a double sofa bed for extra guests. There is a private bathroom with shower.
Upon your arrival, relax and enjoy a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, home baked cookes and a fruit basket.
With a private entrance you have easy access as you come and go from enjoying Sooke's many attractions. Constable Matheson's B&B is centrally located and handy to the historic Galloping Goose Trail, the museum, tennis courts, restaurants, local galleries and shops.
