A major 10th is the distance between two notes.1 is the root. The root notes are: E: 4th string open. F: 4th string, 1st fret and F#: 4th string, 2nd fret. 8 is the octave with a major 10th being two whole notes past the octave(8). G#: 1st string, 1st fret, is a major10th away from E A: 1st string, 2nd fret, is a major 10th away from F A#: 1st string .3rd fret, is a major 10th away from F# Can you tell where the octaves are?
