Cole is a delight to live with. As he has grown up, he has proven to be a true ambassador for the breed. His temperament is outstanding which he passed onto his kids.
When he was being shown he was very successful in the ring; my biggest thrill with him was in specialties where he did very well. As a baby at the Beagle Club of BC Specialty in October 1998, he went Winners Male from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class and went on to go Best Puppy in Specialty. In the US in 1999, he won the Bred-By Exhibitor class at the Wisconsin Beagle Club specialty the day before the National and at the National he was 3rd in the BBE class in some formidable competition. At the Columbia Willamette Beagle Club specialty the same year he went Best of Winners (from the BBE class) for a 5 point major. He actually completed his Canadian championship the day before we flew to Wisconsin and also won a 4 point major and two 5 point majors in the US, completing his championship from the BBE classes.
His job these days is that of a couch buddy and best bud.
