Top Selling Video Games by Month

This Web page presents tables of top-selling video games by month and system in the USA. Consoles and handheld systems are included, but personal computer games are not included at this time. When/if I find more data for computer game rankings, and rankings of video games in other countries, I will create pages for those results. All of the following information comes from various video game magazines. Individual references for monthly results can be found in my Chronology of Video Game Systems. If you have a video game magazine that lists sales rankings for a month not included here, I would really appreciate receiving a scanned copy of the page. Game systems are listed from newest (left) to oldest (right), with older systems dropping from the tables when they are no longer represented in monthly sales charts. When a video game is the top seller for a month, it is written in bold and marked with "(#1)".
