  • An early film character "Itchy the Lucky Mouse" has a name similar to Walt Disney's "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit".
  • A black and white film from 1919 shows a mouse (Itchy) with double circle ears like Mickey Mouse.
  • A film is shown, "Steamboat Itchy" dated 1928, like Disney's Steamboat Mickey.

The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. Four children choose a vacation spot; one says "So, it's a choice between Disney World and Knoxville.". "Knoxville!" they reply.

The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A character says "It's like a freakin' Country Bear Jambaroo around here!", a reference to Disneyland's Country Bear Jamboree attraction.

November 3, 1996

The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A child reads a pamphlet "one of these giant redwood trees can provide enough sawdust to cover an entire day's worth of vomit at Disneyland".

February 7, 1997

The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US.
  • Most of the show is a parody of the Disney film Mary Poppins:
    • the show's title "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala-D'oh-cious" ("Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"),
    • the name of the nanny Shary Bobbins (Mary Poppins),
    • song "Cut Every Corner" ("A Spoonful of Sugar"),
    • song "A Boozehound Named Barney" ("Feed the Birds Tuppence a Bag"),
    • a character says "Superduperfragicallyexpialido..." ("Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious").
    • A dream sequence resembles the black-and-white musical cow in Disney's Steamboat Willie, complete with "Turkey in the Straw" music playing.
    • A character asks "Did you say Mary Pop...", to which the reply is "No, I definately did not. I'm an original creation like Ricky Rouse and Ronald Ruck.".

    The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A child says "Wow, I can't believe we're going to Disneyland!", when in fact the family is driving him to military school. Later, the parents say they are taking the kids to Disneyland for real, when in fact they arrive at the dentist. A few recognizable notes of "It's a Small World" are played.

    October 10, 1997

    Buena Vista International releases the film Con Air to theaters in Argentina and Hong Kong. A woman says "Lady is a dog in a Walt Disney movie."

    The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A character says he is "twitterpated", a reference to a word originating in Disney's Bambi.

    April 24, 1998

    The WB Television Network airs the Sabrina, the Teenage Witch TV show in the USA.
    • A teacher says "Class trip to Florida!" to which a student says "We're going to Disney World!".
    • Part of the show takes place on location in Disney's Animal Kingdom.
    • Someone asks where the cat is; the reply is "He's probably upstairs watching Regis", referring to Disney-ABC's Live with Regis and Kathie Lee.

    The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the USA. A character mentions "microcalifragilistics", a reference to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" in Mary Poppins.

    • The episode title "Homer Simpson in: 'Kidney Trouble'" may be a reference to the Disney animated short film Roger Rabbit in: Tummy Trouble.
    • One scene in an "Animatronic Saloon" of a ghost town shows a cowboy chasing a showgirl in robot saloon, a reference to a similar scene of a pirate chasing a woman in Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

    • When a character has to tell others some bad news, he starts with "My friends...", a reference to the lion Scar trying to sweet-talk the hyenas near the end of The Lion King.
    • A character mentions "Dollywood, and EuroDollywood", a reference to EuroDisneyland.
    • A character leads others saying "Follow Me, Boys!", possibly a reference to the 1966 Disney film Follow Me, Boys!.
    • A winning football player says "I'm going to Disneyland!", to which a character says "Really, 'cause I'm a travel agent and I've heard nothing but bad things."; another character nods.

    • it is referred to as "The Happiest Place Orbiting the Earth";
    • inside the main park gate is "Moon Street U.S.A." (Main Street U.S.A.);
    • the attraction "Whalers of the Sea of Tranquility" is a parody of Pirates of the Caribbean;
    • some people wear hats like Mouseketeer hats;
    • the attraction "Monsanto presents The Goophy Gopher Revue" is a parody of Country Bear Jamboree;
    • the attraction "Destination Moon" may be a parody of Flight to the Moon, with mechanically animated characters and singing similar to "It's a Small World";
    • employees who create the attractions are called Fungineers (Imagineers).

    Advertising Age newspaper presents a series of professionally produced print ads for 20+ years in the future. A "Got Milk?" ad by McCann-Erickson Worldwide ad agency for the year 2035 shows Walt Disney after being thawed from cryogenic freezing.

    The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US.
    • At a movie theater special screening, an audience member asks: "Will there be any Flubber in this movie?", a reference to Disney's 1997 film Flubber.
    • Herbie the Love Bug appears in an automobile museum.
