The currency reform of 1798 introduced the Skilling, for which 48 equaled 1 Riksdaler. The Skilling changed to the Skilling Banco in 1835, and was retired in 1855. The 1/6 Skilling was not produced until 1830; after an initial 2.5 million, yearly production averaged about 500,000 per year issued. 1830-1831 King Carl XIV Johan, coins struck in copper.
