Luffa Soaps

Especially good for gardeners, or summer sandal feet. The luffa sponge is a vegetable that grows on vines. It is in the gourd family and looks like a cucumber. The luffa is dried and the skin removed, the strong inner fibers are the luffa sponges that you've seen in stores. Using luffa stimulates circulation, exfoliates and leaves your skin soft, vibrant and healthy. The luffa sponges that we use are organically grown, in Cairo, Egypt which makes them much softer and nicer on the skin. When we receive them they are re-washed and hand-dyed, then washed again, and dried. They are now ready to be turned into our famous Luffa Slices.

We combine the benefits of the luffa sponge and our natural soaps. The soap, when first made is liquid. We pour the liquid soap into the luffa sponge. When the soap hardens we slice the luffa sponge (cross section). The result - our famous Luffa Slices. These are beautiful to look at and wonderful to use. They offer a good mild scrub without being abrasive and leave your skin with a healthy, polished glow. The luffa allows you to get the most out of your bar a soap. Even when there is only a tiny piece of soap left, it stays attached to the luffa and can be used until it is entirely gone. No waste, and when the soap if finally gone, you can keep using the luffa sponge.

Lemongrass Luffa Slice
The meditative scent of Lemongrass and the great scrub of luffa. What a great combination. Lemongrass is good for acne and excessive perspiration, and is a good a tissue toner. It's a great "bug away" soap too! $5.80

Peppermint Luffa Slice
Peppermint is fresh and cool leaving your skin with a tingly feeling. Peppermint oil is great for acne, dermatitis, muscle pain and head-aches and it's great for your feet too. Combined with a luffa sponge it's hard to beat. $5.80

Lavender Luffa Slice
This is our pure Lavender soap poured into a royal purple luffa. This is a very mild soap, yet it leaves you feeling extremely clean and refreshed. Lavender is very healing, especially for burns and insect bites. It is soothing and calming. This is a great "bath before bed" soap. $5.80

Lime Luffa Scrub
Lime (like most citrus oils) is good for acne and oily skin but will not dry or upset the natural PH balance. We have poured our lime soap into a lime green luffa. It's very pretty and makes a great "spring time" soap. $5.80

Pink Grapefruit Luffa Slice
Pink Grapefruit essential oil is good for acne, congested and oily skin. It tones the skin and tissues. We have combined our Pink Grapefruit soap with a hot pink luffa sponge (what choice did we have?). This is a very pretty soap and smells great too! $5.80

Patchouli Luffa Slice
Patchouli is good for acne, athlete's foot, cracked and chapped skin and wrinkles. The oil has a herbaceous-earthy fragrance that improves with age. $5.80

Mandarin Luffa Slice
Mandarin essential oil is good for dull and oily complexions. Combined with our luffa sponge this soap will leave your skin with a healthy, polished glow. $5.80

Anise Luffa Slice
One of our most popular soaps! This "Black Licorice" soap is very dramatic looking with the contrast of the white soap against the black luffa. It's an incredible scrub combined with the sweet fragrance of anise. $5.80
