Don Leppard

Don Leppard began playing drums professionally when he was ten years old. He soon was employed full time, playing in and touring with a variety of show bands and stage bands. A major part of his musical career was spent with the Canadian Armed Forces, touring extensively with the R.C.A.F. Concert Band, and later, as leader of a jazz ensemble for the Canadian Armed Forces Band. He has appeared often on national radio and television, has been a jazz festival adjudicator and has given many clinics in jazz drumming.
 

John Macknight

John Macknight's career in music spans four decades. He grew up in Toronto and lived there until 1976. During that time he studied with Ray Brown and worked in Los Angeles playing in backup bands for such notables as Mel Tormé, Tony Bennett, and Xavier Cugat. Since then, he has lived in Calgary, Vancouver, and for the last fifteen years in Victoria, where he has frequently appeared with George Essihos.
 

Joey Smith

Joey Smith has been playing string bass and guitar professionally for over 20 years. He toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra for two and a half years then studied at the Eastman School of Music, receiving a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media in 1990. He now lives in Victoria and works as an arranger and freelance musician playing bass and guitar with local traditional and contemporary jazz groups.
