Wendy made it through her novice class this June and even did her first mock trial without too many major mistakes. She is signed up again but this time for advanced. We will have to practice hard until September as she wasn't quite ready for that level, but it was the only class that didn't conflict with Bandit's class. Bandit is much better at the obedience work, but it will be interesting to see how far Wendy can go so we will keep at it. Hot dogs seem to motivate her in our training sessions so we now always keep some handy.

Several people have come to see Wendy this summer, One lady was even from South Africa and had seen an article in a South African paper and just had to see her. Needless to say Wendy lived up to their expectations. We were putting hay in the barn over the last week and some of the guys on the crew hadn't seen Wendy before and just couldn't believe it when I brought her out. Wendy will spend the rest of the summer doing what she likes best and that would be wandering through the hay fields, sleeping in the shade and playing with friends, which include Fox and Bandit, her cousin Pia, a Chinese crested named Willis and now Sage a German pincher. When they are all together it is an odd site, but they do have fun.

Wendy completed Novice training earlier this year, but not unexpectedly needed to repeat it. She is now almost finished her second attempt at Novice and with a little luck will make it this time. Wendy also has a new pal in her life, a year old miniature poodle, called Bandit, has come to live with us and they are the best of friends. It is really wonderful to see them playing and wrestling on the lawn and having the time of their lives. This Spring two separate camera crews have come from Japan to film Wendy, and if it hadn't of been for the obedience classes it would have been a disaster. As it was Wendy grudgingly cooperated and the crews were pleased with the shots they took.
