Boston Bound

Keisuke Fujii

When I was a university student, I went to Boston for sightseeing with a friend. I was very excited because it was the first time for me to go abroad. We walked around everywhere and were surprised and pleased at many things, but one place made an unforgettable impression on me: Boston Museum

We weren’t very interested in Art at the time, but because my friend’s uncle recommended Boston Museum , we went. And I am so glad we did! After seeing the really beautiful oil paintings I became a big fan of oil paintings. It was amazing; I’ll never forget the experience. Before going to Boston, I knew the names of famous artists such as Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh, but   I had only seen pictures of their oil paintings in art books.  The actual painting were so well done that the landscapes and people in them looked real! Even though my friend wanted to leave, I spent almost three hours at the museum. Since then, I often go to museums and art galleries.

If you have never been to an art gallery or museum, you really should go. It might just change your life for ever, as it did mine.
