COMMUNICATION FOR AWAKENING TO DUALITY

This course relies on online communication as well as audio/voice communication over the Internet. The following is a summary of the course structure and the communication tools that will be used. Links are provided where you can familiarize yourself with the software prior to the beginning of the course.

Synchronous (Real-time) Communication

Lectures and Group Discussions will either be held using Microsoft's Netmeeting or in a virtual classroom called vClass. Netmeeting can be found here and is part of the Windows platform. A decision will be made once the platforms (Windows or Mac) of the students are identified.

Ongoing discussions with the moderator will take place with either Yahoo Messenger or through the MSN Messenger software. You will need to have either Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger installed on your computer. Here is the site for the free download of MSN Messenger if you don't already use it. There is also a tutorial and tour offered if you click on "New to Instant Messaging?" on the sidebar menu of the MSN site. The free download of Yahoo Messenger can be found here.

Asynchronous Communication

The Discussion Forum is located at our offices at Tapped In, an educational community. Generally, you would visit the office, click on discussion forum on the left sidebar menu and follow the instructions for posting a new message or a reply. If you have difficulty, either contact the helpdesk at Tapped In or send the moderator of this program an email.

Email can be used at any time to contact the moderator with questions or concerns. If you are unfamiliar with using email, contact our office in Victoria for help.
