ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of partisan and non-partisan women in Victoria who believe that the NDP and Green parties can and should cooperate for the sake of British Columbia. We have been meeting bi-weekly for nearly three years to promote a grassroots movement of progressives (pdf 169kb) and develop a strategy for opposing the BC Liberals in 2005.

WHY WE ORGANIZED

For eight months after the BC Liberals came to power, we witnessed an unprecedented assault on community, environment, social programs and fair working conditions. After breaking most of their election promises, their agenda to sell off the commons in exchange for corporate profit became too clear.

The most common question being asked among progressives was, "Why don't the Greens and NDP get together?"

NDP and Greens did get together along with many nonpartisans, and we continue to get together to remind everyone that the Liberal agenda is not sustainable.

British Columbia cannot afford another four years of Gordon Campbell.
