It's about time

Tell the story of your ancestor through a timeline. This will help you to understand the person's life, identify inconsistencies, and see the gaps that need to be filled. Information that could be included: Birth Marriage Death Marriage of parents Migration Births of siblings Deaths of parents Deaths of siblings Census entries Directory entries Schools Addresses Place of employment Births of children Death of spouse Also, get the historical context. What was happening in the person's community? In the country, the world? Some possible sources for that information: Our Timelines Genelines -- from Progeny Genealogy Legacy Family Tree The Master Genealogist Family Tree Maker Personal Historian Google -- search for timeline, history, Canadian (for example) Updates?
