Historical Military Encampment at Fort Rodd Hill
The Museum is a co-sponsor with CFB Esquimalt Naval and Military Museum and Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic sites of the historical military encampment at Fort Rodd Hill near Victoria, BC on the Victoria Day long weekend. This is part of an effort to show what the Fort was like during its service as an active military installation. Among the attendees are participants from the American/British Camp in the San Juan Islands in Washington State, as well as representations of past units of Canada’s military.
The Museum is proud to sponsor “The General Sir Arthur Currie Camp Pennant” to the best overall camp contingent.
There are other living history events at the Fort through the year, with a lantern light tour of the Fort in September to conclude the season. |
