Came to Tuckersmith, ON with his parents in 1846. Later, in 1878, he moved to Stanley, ON where he lived until his death on Sunday, September 25, 1892. He was a farmer. He is buried in Clinton (ON) Cemetery.
Great athlete in his teens and twenties. Later crippled by inflammatory rheumatism for twenty years.
Never married.
