Frank Scott was trained as a stone mason in the old country. He was very clever with his hands. This was supposed to be due to the fact that he was the seventh son of a seventh son. In Harphurey, he mended old clocks and watches and fixed the shoes but was an indifferent farmer. He settled on Lot 13, Concession 1, Tuckersmith, ON, in 1846. The farm passed from him to his son, Robert. On Robert's death, Andrew bought it and owned it in 1918.
