About the back hills

Set in the Metchosin hills only 30 minutes from Victoria, the back hills offers women a country retreat from the rigours of their daily lives. This hillside acreage, covered with picturesque arbutus trees, teems with life. Watch the deer and quail from your bedroom window. Take in the rolling hills from the house, or better yet, hike to the top of the property to enjoy a spectacular view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains beyond.

This rustic country home is filled with women's images, women's literature and women's music -- it's a place to be comfortable and bask in the energy. Take some time off to read on the sun-deck or just snuggle in under a big cozy quilt. The coffee pot's always on, usually with some fresh baking to have with it. Evening offers a place by the fieldstone fireplace and morning an ample breakfast (vegetarians welcome). Come and enjoy !

Pets
Women with allergies will want to know that the back hills is a
cat-friendly home. These same women may also want to know that the b&b is very clean, and I've had numerous positive comments from guests with cat allegies.
