PacifiCat
Explorer is here. Light and agile, with perfect feline manners
for a smooth comfortable ride. It's the state of the art in fast
ferry technology. Faster in fact than anything else in our fleet.
PacifiCat Explorer is totally new inside and out. With a sleek
profile that's built for speed. And an ultra-modern interior
that's built for comfort.
|
Safety First
PacifiCat is a high speed vessel. Safety
regulations for high speed craft make it necessary for people
to leave the vehicle decks and move up to the passenger decks
before PacifiCat reaches its service speed. For more information,
please see the Customer Service Officer (CSO) onboard the ship.
You'll find the CSO's office on the starboard
(right) side of the Main Passenger Deck. Note that a comprehensive
safety card is available on board ship, with information on emergency
equipment and procedures.
What's on-board?
The Swiftsure Restaurant, a PacifiCat Explorer
exclusive, features a menu custom-made for the fast ferry travel
experience, while the Seascape Lounge on the observation deck
has some of the best views - and desserts on board. For lighter
fare there's the Waverunner Café. You can also visit Passages
Gift shop for a memento of your trip, or tune in the new 'CatVision'
video screens throughout the passenger areas. |
|
Travelling with Luggage
Items not easily carried by hand or backpack
should be checked when you buy your ticket. Special care will
be taken to ensure that your belongings will be waiting at the
baggage claim area at our terminal when you disembark.
Travelling with Pets
If you are travelling with a pet but without
a vehicle in which to secure it, special kennels have been installed
on the vehicle deck to make your pet as comfortable as possible
during the voyage.
Changes for Large Vehicles
Because the PacifiCat Explorer is
designed to carry smaller vehicles (cars, pickups, vans and some
RVs), large commercial vehicles (trucks over 5,500 kg/GVW) and
single-unit recreational vehicles over 28 feet long cannot be
carried on the fast ferry. These will be served by the other
vessels operating between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay. |
