  • Disney makes a deal with Columbia Pictures, to re-acquire 50 cartoons they still controlled from their 1930 distribution deal. For the first time, this gives Disney sole ownership of all Disney studio productions and characters. [34.209]
  • Walt Disney Productions sets up a company for supplying educational material for schools. [96.89]
  • Walt Disney directs storyboard illustrator Ken Anderson to begin building a series of miniature 3-D mechanically animated scenes, to be transported around the country on train. The project is called Disneylandia. [328.192]
