David was born, bred & buttered in Limerick, Ireland many moons ago & now resides in Ottawa,Ontario, Canada. As a boy it was Goldfinches,Chaffinches & Linnets that started him in the Fancy. Since switching to Type Canaries he has bred & shown Border's, Fife's ,Gloster's, Norwich & Yorkshire's, most of his success has been with Borders which are his favorites.
David enjoys all aspects of bird keeping, all have different pleasures, the anticipation of the breeding season, the fun & camaraderie
of the show season where we meet up with old friends & hopefully new ones.
David has been president & show manager of his local club The Ottawa Bird Fanciers' Society for the past 15 years, and believes
if you really want to enjoy your Club & the Fancy, get stuck in, attend meetings and be positive!
