The A.A.C.C. has now established a Hall of Fame to recognize important contributions in bird keeping in all its many forms.

Criteria will include:

  • Outstanding contributions to the world of aviculture through inspiration and example.

  • Long serving and out-standing officials, including judges

  • Successful breeding of rare, difficult and new species

  • Outstanding success on the show bench over a number of years.

  • Work to save endangered bird species and/or their environment.

  • Work to widen our understanding of birds and their welfare through academic research or development of veterinary treatments.

  • Innovative product development that contributes significantly to the advancement of bird keeping.

  • Educating, informing or entertaining bird keepers and the wider public on any aspect of bird keeping.

The list is not designed to be restrictive and all important contributions will be considered. Nominees may be deceased or retired for reasons such as age and ill health.

A.A.C.C. will dedicate space on the website for contributions and achievements of all people accepted into the Hall of Fame.

Nominations are now invited. These will be accepted by the A.A.C.C. from any source but must be accompanied by as much detail as possible about the contributions and achievements of the nominee and the relative importance and significance of their activities.
