The A.A.C.C. has now established a Hall of Fame to
recognize important contributions in bird keeping in all its many
forms.
Criteria
will include:

Outstanding
contributions to the world of aviculture through inspiration and
example.

Long serving and
out-standing officials, including judges
-
Successful breeding of
rare, difficult and new species
-
Outstanding success on
the show bench over a number of years.

Work to save endangered
bird species and/or their environment.
-
Work to widen our
understanding of birds and their welfare through academic research or
development of veterinary treatments.
-
Innovative product
development that contributes significantly to the advancement of bird
keeping.
-
Educating, informing or
entertaining bird keepers and the wider public on any aspect of bird
keeping.
The list is not designed to be restrictive and all
important contributions will be considered. Nominees may be deceased or
retired for reasons such as age and ill health.
A.A.C.C. will dedicate space on the website for
contributions and achievements of all people accepted into the Hall of
Fame.
Nominations are now invited. These will be accepted by
the A.A.C.C. from any source but must be accompanied by as much detail
as possible about the contributions and achievements of the nominee and
the relative importance and significance of their
activities.
