George Pringle Memorial Camp George Pringle Memorial Camp is owned and operated by the Victoria Presbytery of the United Church of Canada. Our mission statement is as follows: The purpose of the George Pringle Memorial Camp is to provide opportunities for children, youth, adults and families to experience a closer relationship to God, themselves, other people, and the natural world. We believe that God wants us to be whole persons, and we seek to help campers have fun and develop mentally. physically and spiritually. We express spirituality through role modeling and leadership, and in expressing community, caring and acceptance in all our camping activities. The camp is located near the northwest end of beautiful Shawnigan Lake. Everyone generally is welcome to visit, but it's difficult sometimes if people just drop in unannounced. (We have a policy that visitors check in with the Property Managers, and it's advisable to call ahead in case the camp is occupied by a private group. Also, for security, when we have children's programs during the summer we can't have strangers wandering around the site). (The address of the camp is 2520 West Shawnigan
Lake Road. |
