In Transition

Many of the ministries are in transition at VFGF. We've felt a new calling on our church and these ministries are changing to reflect those changes. What won't change is the commitment to God's Word and the calling on our hearts.

Filling Special Needs

These are ministry departments that focus on specific needs within our congregation.

Along with our weekly Home Groups, these ministries provide personal support and fellowship at a deeper level than is possible at the congregational level.

Youth Ministries

Every Friday Evening

The youth have regular activities on Friday evenings (except for the summer and Christmas hiatus) — always supervised by adults.

Other special activities are scheduled from time to time, including the annual water ski event at Shawnigan Lake. See our Youth Event Calendar for details about these events.

Our Youth Group Committee consists of both youth and adult members.

Lunch with the Bunch

Thursdays at 11:00–2:00

The “Lunch with the Bunch” ministry meets every Thursday in the lounge at 550 Obed Avenue for fellowship, prayers and devotionals. Everyone is welcome.

New Shedule

We now meet at 11:00 a.m. every Thursday open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Please bring your Bible and a friend plus either:

something to add to the lunch on the first Thursday; or
a bag lunch on the other Thursdays.

Ladies Secret Prayer Pal

Caring for Each Other

Ladies are given a secret prayer pal in the early spring each year. They pray for their pal and annonymously give them cards and gifts on special occasions for encouragement.

Meeting Once Annually

This group meets only once per year at the Secret Prayer Pal Revealing Night when ladies learn the identity of their secret prayer pal and share a small gift with them.

Men's Breakfast

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

Breakfast is served promptly at 8:00 a.m. All men are welcome to attend.

Meeting Details

The meeting follows breakfast with a scheduled completion at 10 a.m.

God’s Caring Bees

Crafters serving missions and needs in our community

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” — 2 Corinthians 9:12 NIV

This ministry provides for missions and needs in our community by handcrafts creatively fashioned with love.

Calling all quilters, knitters, crocheters and those that would like to learn and be a part of this group. Lessons are available if needed. Contact for more information.

Church Ball Team (Seasonal)

Christian Baseball League

The VFGF Team plays against other churches in the Interdenominational Slowpitch League. This is a time of fun for all. If you don’t play on the team, come out and cheer!

Team games are played on Thursdays. This schedule may alter from time to time.

Praise and Worship without Time Restraints

This Sunday evening event will allow us to praise and worship Him without the time restraints of our regular morning service.

Come and journey with us deeper into God’s presence through worship. Come and discover how to hear His voice through God’s Word.
