Bio: Loreen Gardner, M.A.

Loreen is a graduate of the University of Guelph Masters Program in Individual, Marital and Family Therapy. As a Clinical Member of the
Loreen Gardner
American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, she has worked for 20 years, in three provinces, in Private Practice as well as a variety of settings including the Criminal Injuries Board, Worker's Compensation Board, Employee Assistance Programs, a treatment Centre for Handicapped Children, Domestic Violence Programs, a First Nations Reserve, and Correctional Institutions.

Her training at the University of Guelph grounded her in Systems Theory which she combines with a Cognitive-Behavioral-Narrative perspective and a Feminist orientation. For the last eight years EMDR has been a powerful additional tool that has proven very effective in dissipating the negative power of earlier life experiences, allowing for more rapid healing and positive reconstruction of disabled lives.

Loreen responds to clients with respect and caring, tailoring her interventions to best suit the individual client's needs. Generating trust, Loreen assists clients in expanding and altering their perspectives, and in freeing themselves from patterns that prevent them reaching their maximum potential.
Loreen works with children, adults and elderly people, as individuals, couples and families. She is eager to facilitate the early healing of children.

Increased SELF-ESTEEM underlies listening well, speaking effectively, enjoying life to the fullest. Loreen greatly enjoys watching the self-esteem of her clients flourish.
