Theology, Religion, and Biblical Studies - a reasonable approach

Home page; About this site; Library

What is the Vancouver Island Theological Society?

Convivial souls who meet three or four times a year to discuss religious issues in a reasonable way.

Meetings are open to all those interested who are willing to do some preparation beforehand

Reading Lists are distributed before the meeting and members are expected to read some or all of them so that discussion does not consist of the pooling of ignorances.

To give you an idea of what sort of things we discuss, here is a list of some of our previous topics:
Even if you cannot attend you may be interested in our reading lists from earlier discussions.
Some items from reading lists get into the permanent site library and can be downloaded.

p.s. Where is Vancouver Island? Vancouver Island is a small island the size of Scotland lying off the West coast of Canada separated from the rest of the nation by a body of salt water, a certain cast of mind, and many idiosyncracies. The main city is Victoria where all good Canadians hope to go when they die (and many of them get there.)
