The use of forum theatre techniques brings audience members on stage to take the role of a character they see as being oppressed in any way, and modelling some of the behaviour that will change their perceived oppressor.

Imaging is another technique much enjoyed by audiences. It requires the actors to "freeze" in a moment of emotional crisis. The audience then uses the actors as living clay, moving limbs and modelling facial expressions to create a sense of reconciliation.

Playback theatre involves extemporaneous re-enactments from personal experiences of audience members.
